Maren Holt paints figures and still lifes that sit somewhere between portraiture and theatre. Trained in classical oil technique, she works from life over long sittings, building images that reward the same slowness they were made with. Her work has been exhibited in Copenhagen, Berlin and London, and she takes a small number of portrait commissions each year.
